RM308 (3)
RM308
RM30 has been in preservation since 1987. Originally a partnership between Andrew Morgan & Keith Saunders saw the vehicle in its early days travel the length and breath of the UK. In 1997 Andrew sold his share in 308. It then spent some time in and around the Harrow area before moving to Northamptonshire. During this time, i thought about selling it back to TfL, and actually meet someone from Tfl. In the end i didnt. In September 2007 RM308 moved to South Wales and Duane Curtis a long term friend got involved. In 2009 it was repainted into the final livery she carried. RM308 is unusual in that it regained its original body on overhaul in 1981, It left Aldenham with maroon seat backs, it is one of hundred bodies to both Air vents and opening front upper deck windows. The Routemaster is kept as part of the Swansea Bus Museum and is often out and about in the area.

RCL2233 (1)
RCL2233
RCL2233 was one of 43 Routemaster coaches built for Greenline use and entered service in June '65 at Romford. Jan '70 saw transfer to London Country & in '72 downgraded to bus services. CUV233C was bought back by LT in Dec '77 & the following month became a trainer vehicle out of West Ham still wearing her green livery. In Dec '78, 2233 was repainted red although still on trainer duties. In 1980 RCL2233 was converted to a bus (doors, etc removed, re-seated, stanchion fitted) & entered service on the 149 from Stamford Hill until Dec '82 when she was withdrawn from service. Brought for preservation by Alan Brown in Feb '84 but due to a mix-up the vehicle was nearly scrapped by Norths in Sherburn. We brought 2233 from Alan in July 2005 and have carried out internal re-painting and refurbishment. In 2006 we replaced the B-frame & renewed the tyres. In Feb '10 the engine was changed to the appropriate AEC AV690 11.3ltr, replacing the smaller 9.6ltr AV590 bus engine.
