Celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Routemaster asbl
1962: Routemaster RM1180 is built at Park Royal and enters service with London Transport.
1992: RM1180 moves to Luxembourg and is the first vehicle of a new association to whom it also gives its name: “Routemaster asbl”.
2012: Routemaster asbl celebrates on 6th and 7th October 2012 this double anniversary with an international rally for historic buses taking place in Luxembourg.
Routemaster asbl will be happy to welcome you with your pre-1992 bus in Luxembourg. You may arrive on Friday 5th October to share a dinner in the evening. On Saturday all the vehicles will transfer to Diekirch (some 35 kilometres), where there is the opportunity to visit the Automobile Museum, as well as the Military Museum. In the evening a common dinner will take place at the Bus and Tramway Museum in Luxembourg-City. On Sunday morning a guided tour of the city is programmed followed by the traditional garden party of Routemaster asbl.
If you are interested in participating in this interesting event, please contact Routemaster asbl via e-mail at contactrm@routemaster.lu before 28th September 2012.
You may find further information on Routemaster asbl at www.routemaster.lu or on the event itself by clicking here.
