Colin Curtis
It is with regret that it has just been confirmed that our President Colin Curtis OBE passed away in hospital earlier today.
Under the then Chief Engineer, A A M Durrant, Colin was part of the development team for the Routemaster bus and he later became the Vehicle Engineering Manager for London Transport.
From the early days in 1988, Colin has been closely involved with the Routemaster Operators & Owners Association as our President, Technical Officer and then as the Chairman of the highly successful Routemaster 50 event in 2004.
His outstanding contribution to London’s transport and to what has today become a world famous icon of London will live on for many years to come. Our thoughts are with his family and numerous friends at this sad time.
18th September 2012.
